SEO basics worth doing on a new site

Search rewards clear pages that load well and say something useful — not tricks.

Foundations first

One clear topic per page, descriptive titles and meta descriptions, sensible headings, and URLs humans can read. Index the pages that matter; do not bury the site behind accidental noindex flags.

Technical hygiene

Fast mobile loads, working HTTPS, an XML sitemap, redirects from old URLs after a rebuild, and structured data where it genuinely helps (not everywhere). Fix crawl errors when Search Console reports them.

Content that answers real questions

Write for the questions buyers already ask. Modern tools and advanced code support SEO; they do not replace specificity. Thin pages stuffed with slogans rarely rank — or convert.
